what is Reflexology or have you just thought it’s just a foot massage?

Reflexology - it’s not just a ‘foot massage’.

Reflexology is the technique of applying gentle pressure to reflex areas on the feet, hands or even the face and the ears (That’s right, I also provide Facial Reflexology!) to bring about a state of deep relaxation and stimulate our body's own healing processes. It is a natural and safe therapy for all ages that helps our body thrive. It can help reduce pain, inflammation, stress, improve our sleep and reduce migraines. Reflexology is not a therapy to diagnose, it supports and restores your general well-being.

Reflexology is getting more known to the public but it is still understated in supporting your general well-being. Science is slowly backing up our work but there is not yet enough research to show how much Reflexology is helping our general well-being.

The theory behind reflexology is that the organs, nerves, glands and other parts of our body are connected to reflex areas or also called reflex points on our feet, hand and face. By stimulating these areas using a compression technique and a form of massage with thumbs, fingers and hands, we can create a direct response in a related body area.

Reflexology may help:

  • Reduce stress and induce deep relaxation

  • Improve circulation

  • Clean the body of toxins and impurities

  • Balance the whole system and promote homeostasis within the body

  • Revitalise energy
